My aunty was diagnosed with some uterus problems and hormone issues in 1970s, and came to knew that she couldn’t get pregnant, so she went told her mother in law that she would withdraw from this marriage and asked her to make marry some other girl to her husband, but ber Mil scolded her very badly not to speak like this , she wasn’t treated any differently than others, infact she holds all my kids first when they were born. they were a wonderful couple till her husband died in covid, see having kids secondary, if a man have love for his wife how will he get married again just for a baby- so in my pov - Pandiyamma & co should be punished in this story, on other hand Devi can adopt a kid, but practically it’s very difficult cause government has so many rules regarding income of the parent and single parent also, my friend tried and tried adoption waited for so many years , then gone a for IUV / something like that..
